The Tigers (10-6, 2-2 Atlantic Coast Conference) held the Demon Deacons to their lowest point total this season as McDaniels led an aggressive defensive attack that held Wake Forest’s two leading scorers in C.J. Harris and Travis McKie to 20 points — 11 points below their combined average coming in. Wake Forest 44, Clemson 60
It just wasn’t the Demon Deacons’ night. Good showing by my Tigers though. It’ll be fun to talk a little trash at work tomorrow.
Woo hoo!!! Yay yay yay yay!!! Can’t wait to see him in Death Valley in 2013!!!
While I’m excited about this, I felt this was a given. My bigger concern? Whether or not Nuk comes back. After this year, he should go pro, but man…if he were to come back, we’d be a force to be reckoned with next year. *crossesfingers*
So we have a bowl game tonight. Attempting to muster up some GameDay spirit to cheer my Tigers on. Seeing as how I’ve been completely out of the sports loop since the end of the NCAAF regular season, tonight should be fun (I hope).
Last night wasn’t even close.
What yesterday was though? Cold (somewhere around 40 dF). Fun (at least for the first half before we let off the gas). Long (left the house around 1p, didn’t get home until 12:30a).
If last night was ArcadiaTiger and I’s last game of the season, it was a helluva way to go out.
Last night was fun. It’s always great to get a chance to see Clemson play, especially since ArcadiaTiger and I live around 3.5 hrs away from Death Valley. As such, we can’t just hop down there every week. But last night was cooler for a few reasons other than just getting to see Clemson play…
- We got to see Clemson win
- We got to see Clemson win BIG (game was done by the half)
- We got to see Clemson win BIG on the road (that doesn’t happen often)
- We got to see Clemson win BIG on the road on an ESPN Thursday game
- The stadium was only 30 minutes away from our apartment, so travel was easy
- I’m “closely affiliated” with a lot of the fans of the losing team. Let’s just say I get to keep my bragging rights in the office
Best of all, we get the chance to do almost all of this next weekend as the Tigers will be rolling into Durham for a primetime matchup with the Duke Blue Devils. Durham is only 45 minutes away from Greensboro, so you can bet good money that we’ll be there. Another plus? The Raleigh-Durham beer selection is the best in the state. With the game not kicking off until 7p, I’ll have plenty of time to “sample” lots of delicious brews.
College football is the best.
