Interesting fact I learned a while ago: Choriki Sentai Ohranger is the least popular Super Sentai Series; conversely, its American adaptation, Power Rangers Zeo, is the most popular Power Ranger Series.
Part 2: how unpopular was Ohranger? It almost cancelled the entire Super Sentai series.
If true, very interesting. I can’t find a source to confirm either, so I’ll just take this at face value.

It’s STAGGERING just how much better Power Rangers Samurai got after Antonio, The Gold Ranger, joined the cast. Out of the 6 Rangers, it’s obvious that he’s the only one who genuinely understands his role. The other 5 Rangers play their roles a bit too straight, making for very one-dimensional characters. I don’t know if it’s the writing or the actor, but Antonio brings a bit of levity to the show that it desperately needed.
And this has been an over-analyzation of a children’s show by a 28 year old man-child.
Just found out that season 1 of PR:S has been added to Netflix Instant Streaming. This Friday’s off to a pretty rad start.
